About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Troy Fraser. As a Home Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Household Management: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and hobbies.
  • Errands: Assist clients with shopping for food and household supplies, as well as other errands as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Employer's home.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, patience, and honesty.
