We are a leading bakery that specializes in creating delicious cakes and pastries. We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Cake Decorator will be responsible for preparing dough and batters for various baked goods, baking mixed dough and batters, and decorating cakes and pastries. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare dough and batters: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Bake mixed dough and batters: Bake mixed dough and batters to create a variety of baked goods.
- Decorate cakes and pastries: Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to create visually appealing desserts.
- Ensure quality: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Prepare special orders: Prepare special orders for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Skills: Ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye co-ordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, overtime required, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, work under pressure.
The Cake Decorator will work in a fast-paced bakery environment with a team of experienced bakers and decorators. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality products.
