We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Human Resources Officer to join our team at Community Living Glengarry Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to recruitment, staffing, and employee relations.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting notices and advertisements, collecting and screening applicants, and advising job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements

  • Review candidate inventories
  • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
  • Recruit graduates of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions

  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process

  • Complete and submit documentations for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance
  • Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements
  • Prepare T4 statements and other statements
  • Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance and pension plans
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reliability and team player
  • Adaptability and ability to learn new software and systems
Work Environment:

The Human Resources Officer will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. The successful candidate will be required to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
