Job Summary

The Royal Mental Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care and leadership to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, expert, comprehensive care and nursing services to patients, incorporating health promotion, disease prevention, and management.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches and programs to address complex clinical care issues.
  • Assess and evaluate client outcomes, and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical interventions.
  • Provide consultation, referrals, and collaboration with other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Participate in program and discipline-specific committees and task groups.
  • Work in a manner that complies with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Master's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse providing services in psychiatric care and mental health.
  • Member of relevant professional organizations (preferred).
  • CPMHN (C) required.
  • Experience with CBTp (preferred).
  • Current CPR certificate, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Level C.
