Compensation Package

The compensation package includes paid holidays, medical, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, and salary continuance plans. Additionally, employees are eligible for a 6% RRSP employer matching program. The estimated annual salary range for this position is $72,300-$90,300, which may vary based on work experience, education level, skill set, and location.

Job Description

This role reports to the Compliance Manager and involves working closely with Engineering Design Teams, Project Management, Product Management, and Sales. The Sr. Compliance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring new and existing products meet all safety and compliance requirements for global markets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a liaison with certification, inspection, and testing agencies to obtain and maintain certification.
  • Establishing test plans and conducting electrical product safety testing to determine compliance with applicable standards.
  • Serving as a standards and compliance resource to project engineers, sales, and technical support.
  • Determining the impact of standards on each product in the early design stages and providing engineering parameters or design guidance to project teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related technical, electronics, or engineering field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in product safety or regulatory compliance roles.
  • Practical knowledge and interpretation of safety standards requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with product validation testing and agency certifications.
