About the Job


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager Specialist to join our team at BC Hydro.


This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.


About the Role


The Renewable Energy Project Manager Specialist will be responsible for managing projects that involve the development and implementation of renewable energy technologies, including wind, hydro, and solar power.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement project plans and schedules to ensure timely completion of projects;
  • Manage project budgets and resources to ensure effective use of funds and personnel;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams, to ensure successful project execution;
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery;
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements


To be considered for this role, you must have:



  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, sustainability, or a related field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally.
