About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced instructor to join our team at HSE Integrated. As an Energy Safety Canada Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering and engaging students in instructor-led classroom training of intercompany courses and industrial-specific training.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training in group and/or individual hands-on sessions, demonstrating in-depth knowledge and learning experience of course materials.
- Build strong relationships with adult learners and/or clients, ensuring a positive experience before, during, and after the course.
- Adhere to guidelines governing course content, practical scenarios, and document control as outlined in the instructor course certification process and HSE Integrated training policy.
- Perform scheduled inventory of supplies and/or assets of training materials and maintain the equipment and classroom environment.
- Provide feedback on course content/delivery and methods to improve the overall participant experience.
Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to operate and maintain classroom assets.
- Demonstrates attention to detail with focus on overall implementation and follow-through of assigned tasks.
- Professional with clear communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate professionalism while representing HSE Integrated (attire, language, conduct, attitude, and behavior).
- Previous industry-related experience and pre-existing certifications to instruct courses (e.g., H2S Alive) must be valid at the time of application.
Preferred Certifications & Training
- H2S Alive
- Standard 1st Aid/CPR
- Valid Clean Driver License
- Successful completion of the HSE Train the Trainer upon hire
- HSE Driving program
- Successful completion with proof of instructional auditing of the following Energy Safety Canada (ESC) courses:
- Firewatch
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space Entry and Monitor
- Coordinator/instructional training
