The Role

As Senior Financial Operations Lead, you will play a critical role in leading the financial reporting and analysis for corporate operations. Reporting directly to the SVP, Finance, this is a highly visible position offering exposure to complex technical accounting challenges, mentorship opportunities, and the chance to drive process improvements across financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the quarterly and annual consolidation of financial results, ensuring accuracy for both internal and regulatory purposes.
  • Lead a team of senior accountants, providing mentorship and guidance to foster growth and excellence. Review and approve journal entries and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Spearhead monthly financial close cycles, identifying and implementing efficiencies to streamline operations.
  • Work closely with treasury, accounts payable, and other teams to deliver insights and respond to inquiries. Serve as a key point of contact for various business groups.
  • Take ownership of special initiatives, including technical accounting challenges and improvements to regulatory reporting processes.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years in accounting or auditing, with at least 2 years of experience in a corporate setting at a large company with 10+ entities.
  • CPA (or equivalent) designation.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS, public company reporting requirements, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial systems like Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire teams in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
