Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Accounting Duties
    • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and manage month-end close processes.
    • Oversee accounting for loans, commercial lending, and mortgage portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements in adherence to IFRS/GAAP standards.
    • Manage financial data and reporting using SAP or similar ERP systems.
    • Support audits by compiling documentation, resolving inquiries, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data related to lending operations.
    • Provide insights and improvements to accounting processes and systems.
  • Lending Operations Expertise
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, with significant exposure to loan accounting, commercial lending, or mortgage operations.
    • Previous experience in a banking or financial services environment is required.
    • Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis.
    • Strong skills in general entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
    • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA/CA designation or actively pursuing one (preferred but not required).

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
