Security and Healthcare Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Security and Healthcare Technology Specialist to join our team at Houle Electric Limited. As a key member of our Subject Matter Expert team, you will be responsible for the installation, design, assembly, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various electronic systems.
Your Responsibilities- Work on customer sites to install, design, assemble, service, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic systems, including Nurse Call, RTLS, Audio, Video, Paging, Intercom, Security/Access Control, Telecommunication, and Video Surveillance.
- Act as a subject matter expert resource for project managers to assist with technical difficulties or issues.
- Inspect potential project sites and provide accurate estimates of required equipment and time.
- Maintain and complete accurate as-builts and all system documentation for projects.
- Train end users on the operations of provided systems.
- Develop and implement solutions to resolve interfacing or intercommunication problems between disparate systems.
- Commission and configure hardware and software for deployment/installation.
- Create and provide internal technical training resources and sessions for Houle team members.
- Training in security/healthcare systems and products, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection or related fields.
- Certification in at least one of the following platforms: Genetec, Kantech, Lenel, Milestone, Ascom Telligence, GuardRFID, or Sonitor.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a similar role, with technical expertise in related systems. Electronics background is an asset.
- Experience with integration and middleware engines in the security/healthcare product space is an asset.
- Familiarity with SNMP, BACNET IP, MODBUS, and other platform-agnostic messaging protocols is an asset.
- Knowledge of various programming and computer languages, including C#, Python, and T-SQL, is an asset.
- Knowledge of web-based technologies, protocols, and languages/mechanisms, including API, REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, ISS, Web servers, JSON, XML, and SQL, is an asset.
- Knowledge of various networking protocols and technologies.
- Ability to work in various government institutions and willingness to travel and work in other regions for short periods of time.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $100,000 per year, plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and overall match to the position offered.
