YMCA Child Care - Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking an experienced Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA Chetwynd Care & Learning Centre. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with infants and toddlers in a home away from home environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and creative programming for infants and toddlers
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with families through daily communication and interactions
  • Assist in planning and implementing a consistent child-centred program that meets the unique needs of each child
  • Work collaboratively with staff to deliver a high-quality and age-appropriate program based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum
  • Ensure adherence to all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies

Requirements:

  • Current and valid BC Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator License to Practice
  • Three satisfactory professional references and experience working with children in a child care or recreational setting
  • Current Emergency Child Care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search

What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of $29.80 - $31.76 per hour, which includes Government Wage Enhancement (currently $6.00/hour for fully certified ECEs). Additionally, we offer a full benefits package, 5% employer-matched pension, paid training, YMCA membership, and education and career advancement opportunities.

Location: YMCA Chetwynd Care & Learning Centre

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
