We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Robin's Nest Early Childhood Education Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities that promote learning and exploration, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents, guardians, or supervisors as needed.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various mediums, including art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents or supervisors.
  • Familiarize yourself with relevant licensing regulations and establish guidelines for behavior.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges faced by children.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including planning and implementing measures to protect their well-being.

Requirements:

  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Experience working with children with special needs, including those with behavioral issues, allergies, and asthma
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, and vulnerable sector check
  • Own transportation or access to public transportation
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with repetitive tasks and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and flexibility
