Early Childhood Educator for Infant Care

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA Chetwynd Care & Learning Centre. As an Infant & Toddler Educator, you will be responsible for providing quality care and creative programming to our youngest learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Interact directly with the children, providing a nurturing and engaging environment.
  • Establish and maintain positive daily communications and interactions with families.
  • Assist in planning and implementing a consistent child-centred program.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to deliver a high-quality and age-appropriate program based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
  • Adhere to all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies.

Qualifications:
  • Current and valid BC Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator License to Practice.
  • Three satisfactory professional references and experience working with children in a child care/recreational setting.
  • Current Emergency Child Care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
