Job Title: Child Development Program Lead

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year


Job Description

The Child Development Program Lead will play a key role in designing and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes developing curriculum, leading activities, and supervising staff.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children on outings.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure they are meeting program goals and standards.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with record-keeping and administrative tasks.

Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education Level 3 certification.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Work Environment:

This is a permanent position working 30 to 40 hours per week. The work setting is a child care centre.
