Key Responsibilities
  • Immediate Settlement Support
    • Assist with housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing needs of newcomers and refugees.
    • Facilitate access to community resources, language training, and skills training to support social and labour market integration.
  • Recruitment and Mentorship
    • Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disasters.
    • Offer mentorship programs pairing newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Cultural Competency and Diversity
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Indigenous Support
    • Participate in government or community programs supporting Indigenous people.
    • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Work Environment
