We are seeking a highly skilled Department Operations Lead to join our team at Loblaw Companies Ltd - Head Office. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to take on a key leadership role and contribute to the success of our organization.

As a Department Operations Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specific department within the store. You will ensure that the department meets or exceeds sales and profitability goals, trains and develops department colleagues in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising, and ensures merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced appropriately.

The ideal candidate will have previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting. They will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop colleagues. Excellent organizational and time management skills are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of departmental operations
  • Ensuring department meets or exceeds sales and profitability goals
  • Training and development of department colleagues
  • Maintenance of merchandise displays and pricing
  • Inventory management and coordination with other departments
  • Maintenance of a clean and safe department environment
  • Management of departmental expenses
  • Communication with store management and other department managers

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail management experience (preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting)
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
