Capital Projects Manager

About the Role
Colliers is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital projects and build relationships across our Northern Canada business unit.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients to provide strategic advice and contribute to meaningful change through projects that enhance access to housing, clean drinking water, education, and community infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to identify and mitigate risks.
- Provide expert advice on project management methodologies, contract administration, and construction administration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve project outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of capital project experience.
- University degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or construction management (or equivalent).
- Advanced understanding of project management methodologies and experience working in a PMO environment.
- Familiarity with building codes, contracts, and regulations, construction administration, and ethics.
- Deep knowledge of various design and construction methodologies, project management models, and financial management, contract law, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a client-centric attitude.
- Effective client and people management skills, matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of commercial, people, client, and technical issues.
- Demonstrates the ability to build harmonious relationships with both internal and external members of the project team.
- Professional industry credentials such as PMP, CET, RA, or similar industry-recognized designation.
- Preference for candidates with demonstrated experience working respectfully in cross-cultural settings, including building and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities.
