Social Media and Content Manager

Job Summary:

United Way East Ontario is seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Social Media and Content Manager to lead the charge on social media strategy and content creation across platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video content creation and social media management, with some communications and public relations experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to maximize reach, follower growth, and engagement.
  • Produce high-quality video, audio, and written content that resonates with diverse audiences and drives meaningful interactions.
  • Manage and maintain online communities, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to support marketing and communications strategies that reinforce brand health and drive conversion.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging issues, and proactively implement new ideas and techniques into the content strategy.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of innovative and measurable social media management achievements.
  • 4+ years of experience creating video, audio, and other digital and web content that measurably resonates and influences a broad range of audiences and stakeholders.
  • Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
