About the Role

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary care to residents in accordance with established policy and within the scope of your practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care to residents, collaborating with physicians as needed
  • Consult with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to address health concerns and provide education
  • Participate in identifying and analyzing trends in resident care outcomes and professional nursing practice issues
  • Respond promptly to concerns of residents and family members, mediating satisfactory responses and implementing action plans
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class or RN (EC)
  • Demonstrated experience in gerontology
  • Advanced knowledge and decision-making skills in assessment, diagnosis, and health care management
  • Knowledgeable about primary health care issues in Long Term Care
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification from the Canadian Nurses Association
