Job Title: ISL 21R Systems Analyst

The BC Public Service is seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to join our team in Victoria. As a key member of the Service Desk, you will provide end-to-end technology support for GDX and GCPE, resolving Tier 1, 2, and 3 issues and providing senior technical guidance to ministry IT staff, users, customers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess customer requirements and develop and implement technical and business solutions
  • Provide customer support services in an information technology environment and help end-users understand computer hardware and software
  • Experience using a broad number of application development tools
Requirements:
  • Diploma, certification, or equivalent in the computer science field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two years' experience in assessing customer requirements, developing and implementing technical and business solutions
  • Minimum two years' experience providing customer support services in an information technology environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence
  • Experience supporting Web Analytics - including use of Snowplow, Looker
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, and/or SQL)
  • Experience managing/supporting SharePoint 2016
