Job Title: Leisure Coordinator

Bethesda Home is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Leisure Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our recreation services team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising various leisure programs and activities for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Develop and implement new leisure programs and activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our clients.
  • Program Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of program leaders, instructors, and volunteer staff to ensure the smooth delivery of programs and activities.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting to support the effective operation of the recreation services team.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate special events and activities that promote socialization, recreation, and community engagement among our clients.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, recreational facility/institution.
  • Tasks: Gather information on current government policies regarding recreation, sports, and physical activities; perform administrative tasks; coordinate special events.
  • Supervision: More than 20 people.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, judgement, organized, team player.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
