Job Description

At Silfab Solar, we are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Trade Compliance Manager to join our team. This key role is responsible for ensuring that our Trade Compliance policies, procedures, and requirements are adhered to and followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trade Compliance Support: Provide day-to-day support for export and import activities, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of trade compliance documents and data.
  • Documentation Management: Identify and action discrepancies in documentation associated with the Customs clearance of imported and exported goods.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise and communicate between customs brokers, service providers, government agencies, and Silfab locations to provide Trade Compliance support; resolve issues, concerns, and questions as they arise.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and problem solve for long-term solutions in Trade Compliance processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Uphold and promote required trade compliance as set out by CBSA, CBP, and other foreign Customs Authorities and government agencies regulations as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in trade compliance within different industries, preferably with some solar industry experience.
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Trade compliance/CBSA diploma or any other post-secondary certificate.
Skills and Traits:
  • High technical aptitude, with a strong understanding in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to maneuver through complex policy, process, and people.
