Senior Litigation Counsel

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Counsel - Specialty Lines to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance litigation, with a focus on specialty lines, including marine, long-haul trucking, entertainment, class action, director & officer, and errors & omissions claims.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Defend clients in complex insurance disputes, including trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Conduct thorough investigations and analyze evidence to develop effective defense strategies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, claims adjusters, and risk management teams, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support throughout the litigation process.
- Stay up-to-date with changing laws, regulations, and industry trends, applying this knowledge to inform defense strategies and improve outcomes.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in insurance litigation, with a focus on specialty lines.
- Strong knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and coordination.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on developing effective defense strategies.
