Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to join our team at Ignite Talent Solutions. As a Construction Lawyer, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of construction-related disputes, including issues related to the tender process, procurement, money due, deficiencies, liens, trusts, and negligent work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle construction disputes through the litigation process, both independently and as a member of an experienced team.
  • Carry out own files and work with senior counsel on more complex matters.
  • Negotiate and litigate all types of construction disputes.
  • Advise clients on the negotiation and drafting of construction-related contracts, including design-build, construction management, stipulated sum prime contracts, and subcontracts.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in construction law and legislation, including the Construction Act and other relevant legislation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' post-call experience in construction law.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in litigation, particularly construction.
  • Strong teamwork skills, trustworthiness, accountability, proactivity, and a positive work attitude.
  • Confidence and legal acumen to do great work and relish the thrill and accomplishment of winning a case.
