About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at Bombardier. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and guidance to our business units and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal clients to resolve complex legal issues and develop effective strategies to prevent litigation;
  • Manage litigation files worldwide, supervising external counsel and participating in various phases of litigation;
  • Attend depositions, trials, and mediations as needed;
  • Handle discovery and e-discovery phases of complex litigation matters, including witness preparation;
  • Report to the Bombardier management team on litigation progress and strategy;
  • Assume a leading role in risk management and provide guidance and training to internal clients;
Requirements
  • Practicing member of a Canadian province or US state bar, preferably the Quebec Bar;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation, preferably at a renowned law firm;
  • Leadership skills, autonomy, and excellent judicial instincts to make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment;
  • Comfortable working in a highly technical environment with engineering and aerospace concepts;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills;
  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment with new technologies;
  • Perfect bilingualism (French and English) both orally and in writing;
