Job Summary

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of their care.


The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families about their condition and treatment plan.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to cancer care.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • A diploma or degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses and Midwives of British Columbia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Estimated Salary Range

$63,000 - $82,000 per annum, depending on experience.
