About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at BC Cancer, part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).

As a Clinical Oncology Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive cancer services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to oncology patients by assessing their needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating treatment effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring timely documentation and communication with other healthcare providers.
  • Develop and maintain clinical expertise through ongoing education, research, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR (Level C) certification.
  • At least one year of recent experience in oncology nursing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
