Job Title: Senior Director, Product Line Manager

As a Senior Director, Product Line Manager at Lumentum, you will play a pivotal role in defining products that address market and customer needs in the emerging Cloud and AI/ML market for Optical Circuit Switches (OCS). This position requires a dynamic leader with a willingness and ability to learn quickly about this emerging space and a proven track record in strategic market positioning and business model innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Line Management: Define OCS requirements for optical, chassis-level, and software for key applications.
  • Profit and Loss Management: Exhibit ownership of Profit and Loss performance of the product line, including building customer accounts and new business opportunities, and driving the engineering team to deliver against program objectives.
  • Product Roadmap Development: Plan innovative product roadmap that addresses the dynamic needs of the key growth markets while maximizing value for customers and ROI for the portfolio.
  • Market Analysis: Assess the market ecosystem including competitor positions, product strategies, segmentation, go-to-market strategy, and current/future product direction.
  • Customer Engagement: Identify product-market-fit, including product performance, commercial, and pricing aspects, for current and future OCS products.
  • Market Communication: Define and drive market communication strategy for Lumentum OCS products including whitepapers, industry forum participation, and press releases.
  • Business Opportunity Identification: Screen potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide market intelligence on investment and industry trends to enable a more focused marketing effort and shape product strategy.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and define the product specifications, required resources, and outside vendor relationships in the development of new products.
