About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Baywood Dental. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
  • Assist dentists and hygienists with procedures, taking and developing X-rays as needed.
  • Record patient information and maintain accurate records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
  • Polish and buff dentures, and take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required, such as answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
Requirements
  • Registration with provincial or territorial authorities.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and maintain attention to detail.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional lifting and bending.
