About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Baywood Dental. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to strict hygiene and sterilization protocols.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
  • Assist dentists and hygienists with procedures, taking and developing X-rays as needed.
  • Record patient information and treatment plans, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Polish and buff dentures, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Registration with provincial or territorial authorities.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and maintain attention to detail.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
