Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant / Housing Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and financial management support to the organization. This includes maintaining accurate accounts payable, disbursements, invoice records, and journal entries. They will also manage the general maintenance of the Kiosan Second Stage Housing buildings and coordinate tenant placement.

Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, disbursements, and invoices
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Kiosan buildings, including maintenance and repairs
- Coordinate tenant placement and ensure compliance with program rules and regulations
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors
- Develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets to track program activities and outcomes

Qualifications and Requirements

- Post-secondary education in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience working with accounting software, including QuickBooks
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current CPR/First Aid certification and Vulnerable Sector screening required

- Commitment to feminist principles and anti-violence work
- Understanding of intersectional feminist, anti-racism, and anti-oppression frameworks
