Job Title: Associate Dean Research

First Nations University of Canada is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Dean Research to join our team. As a key member of our senior administration, you will provide leadership and strategic direction in research pursuits, promoting collaborative research activities that benefit First Nations communities in Saskatchewan and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in the University's strategic research pursuits, working closely with the Vice-President, Academic, and other senior administrators.
  • Develop and implement research initiatives that align with the University's mission and goals, including pursuing funding opportunities and establishing Centres to deliver positive research outcomes.
  • Collaborate with faculty, students, and community stakeholders to promote research activities and seek funding to benefit First Nations communities.
  • Provide innovative and flexible leadership to the University faculty and staff, promoting a culture of research excellence and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Tenure-track or tenured academic staff member with a strong record in research, teaching, and service.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in academic administration at a senior level, with a strong record in teaching, research, community service, and work with Elders and Aboriginal communities.
