Associate Dean, Research

First Nations University of Canada is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Associate Dean, Research. This is a key leadership role that will provide strategic direction and oversight to the University's research activities, with a focus on promoting and advancing Indigenous research and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the University's research activities, with a focus on Indigenous research and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to promote and advance Indigenous research and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with University leadership, faculty, and community stakeholders to identify research priorities and opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff on research-related matters, including grant applications and research ethics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to advance the University's research agenda.
Requirements:
  • PhD in a relevant field, with a strong record of research and academic achievement.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in academic administration, with a focus on research and Indigenous knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of Indigenous research ethics, management, and program assessment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
