**Job Overview**
The College of New Caledonia is seeking a highly skilled Access Facilitator to join our team. As an Access Facilitator, you will play a vital role in supporting students enrolled in the Skilled Worker Access Program - SWAP.
Responsibilities:
- Provide coordination, liaison, and referral services to promote and facilitate access to post-secondary education, training, and community resources.
- Assist in coordinating participants' entrance and intake/placement assessments.
- Provide initial assessment of student concerns and respond accordingly.
- Facilitate access to CNC support services to promote student success.
- Liaise with groups and individuals to obtain and provide training/education information.
- Assist with goal setting, scheduling, and obtaining career information.
- Develop and implement individual training plans and educational plans.
- Provide liaison and advocacy services to facilitate access to community services.
- Coordinate, promote, and liaise with employment partners for student work placements.
- Promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- A recognized two (2) year diploma in Social Services or other relevant field of studies.
- Three years or more relevant experience in adult education and training, and in working with clients in transition; or equivalent education and relevant experience.
- Knowledge of post-secondary training and education programs, and community resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer skills, including accurate word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
