About the Role

As a Senior Analyst, Investment Data Solutions at Scotiabank, you will be part of building and establishing a business-focused investment data management practice within Scotia Global Asset Management (SGAM). You will participate in the design and implementation of key data quality controls within the Investment Data Hub (IDH) platform.

The role involves working with business and technology partners across SGAM on new data and reporting initiatives and delivery of data quality enhancements. Key responsibilities include delivering and maintaining accurate, complete, and timely investment data sets in the IDH by proactively identifying and correcting data quality issues and responding to data or reporting enquiries.

You will provide first-line support for relevant data enquires and ensure support requests are handled promptly and accurately. Additionally, you will work with technical support teams from Scotia Global Wealth Engineering (GWE) and vendors to resolve production and data issues.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SQL queries, previous experience with core investment data domains, and knowledge of Markit EDM or similar applications. An ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with business partners and effectively communicate with both business and technology data stakeholders is also essential.
