About the Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in operational risk management, with experience in leading risk governance functions and implementing effective risk management processes and controls.

You will work closely with our senior leadership team to set the strategic direction for Enterprise Risk Governance Management, aligning with organizational goals and ensuring effective risk management practices are embedded throughout the organization.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

About the Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A graduate degree or equivalent experience (e.g., MBA) and professional qualifications (e.g., Actuary, Accountant, Chartered Insurer)
  • Solid negotiation, influence, and relationship management skills
  • Strong awareness of regulatory regimes and local business environment in Canada
  • Deep understanding of operational risk management
  • Internal audit or risk experience is an asset
  • Extensive experience in crafting, assessing, and embedding risk management frameworks, processes, and controls
  • Ability to manage sophisticated projects with different collaborators (internal/external) at all levels
  • In-depth understanding of industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes
