Senior Buyer - Power Tools Procurement

The Senior Buyer will play a critical role in sourcing and procuring essential materials, products, and services for our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in purchasing within the power tools industry, accompanied by exceptional negotiation skills and a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers based on quality, price, and service to ensure continuous supply of necessary materials.
  • Anticipate seasonal changes and develop promotional item lists and marketing strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts with key suppliers to optimize cost savings, quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze pricing trends, market dynamics, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks to the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and conduct audits as necessary to uphold product quality and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement functions to optimize operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the power tools industry.
  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts, achieving cost savings, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
