The Role
The Strategic Procurement Specialist will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, products, and services essential to our operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the power tools industry.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to optimize cost savings, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with key suppliers to secure competitive pricing and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the power tools or related industry.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts, achieving cost savings, and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments.
Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is subject to change based on local market conditions and other factors.
