About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinist to join our team at BRAR MACHINING CORP. As a Precision Machining Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the precision and accuracy of our manufactured products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts with high precision
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate machining
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to guarantee accurate measurements
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality products
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments

Requirements:

  • Experience working with CNC machines and Mastercam CAD/CAM software is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and verniers
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to maintain safety equipment and follow safety protocols
