Retail Store Supervisor Job Description
At Dépanneur Du Village, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff members
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels
- Establish work schedules and ensure that all tasks are completed on time
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that all products are properly stocked and displayed
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, including cashiers, grocery clerks, and shelf stockers
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
