Mechanical Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at CB Canada. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical guidance and support to ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory standards, and codes.
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
- Review and verify contractors' invoices and contractual deliverables.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering work packages and safe work action plans.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to provide engineering support during plant turnarounds.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation, registered with APEGA.
- At least 7 years of experience in a plant environment, preferably in chemical processing.
- Experience with ASME and API codes, piping, static, and rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of Alberta Pressure Equipment Safety Legislation and ABSA requirements.
- Proficiency in programs such as PV-Elite and Caesar II.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Long-term contract position with opportunities for extension or permanent placement.
