Job Summary:

Lakeridge Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients to develop and implement treatment plans that promote optimal function and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in team conferences and meetings to discuss patient progress and plan
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • MSc. in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Certified in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)
  • Previous experience working with inpatients with orthopaedic and medical disorders
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to exercise initiative and observe strict confidentiality
  • Membership in CAOT, OSOT
  • Previous experience in an inpatient rehabilitation care setting
  • ADP authorization for Mobility/seating/wheelchair and splinting experience
