About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Architectural BIM Designer to join our team at the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement building information models (BIM) to optimize building design and construction processes
  • Conduct life cycle analysis to determine the embodied emissions of buildings and identify opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable building solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging codes, standards, and policies in the industry and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Assist in the green building rating process for various institutional, commercial, and high-rise residential buildings
Requirements
  • Minimum degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Understanding of carbon footprint concept and greenhouse gas emissions
  • Proficiency in architectural software programs, including AutoCAD and computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Experience in the energy, building services, utilities, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a passion for sustainability
