Dental Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering top-notch dental services.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for dental examinations and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Prepare plaster models and moulds for dental restorations and prosthetics.
- Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, requiring attention to detail and precision.
- Order dental and office supplies to maintain a well-stocked and efficient dental practice.
- Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Maintain and order supplies to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform reception and clerical duties, including answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety.
- Finish metal framework of dentures and other prosthetics, requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Supervise students in training and provide guidance and support to help them develop their skills.
- Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant to promote oral health.
- Take and develop X-rays to aid in dental diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Invoice patients for dental services and manage patient accounts.
- Polish and buff dentures to ensure a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing fit.
- Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations to provide patients with temporary solutions until permanent restorations can be completed.
- Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts to aid in treatment planning and diagnosis.
- Technical expertise in dental procedures, including plastering, packing, waxing-up, casting, polishing, and assembly.
- Computer and technology knowledge, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
- Security and safety protocols, including a criminal record check and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Work conditions and physical capabilities, including the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with repetitive tasks.
- Personal suitability, including client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, team player, and reliability.
- Experience in a dental setting, with a minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.
