We are currently expanding our Service Department based out of our Woodstock office and seeking a motivated individual to fill this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and finalize repair orders, communicate with drivers and owners to identify issues and resolve truck repair needs efficiently.
  • Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees based on their skills and knowledge, aiming to minimize downtime between tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections and provide guidance to mechanics as they work, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Track customer jobs and provide updates on completion time, repair costs, additional repairs, and other relevant details.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all company tools and equipment are properly maintained and utilized effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Department to determine required parts and ensure timely availability.
  • Accurately complete repair orders by reviewing mechanic write-ups, verifying part billing, and adding necessary lines to the ticket as it progresses.
  • Stay up-to-date with warranty information for all truck parts and make informed decisions about warrantable repairs.
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled start times to review work schedules and optimize task allocation.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours as needed to meet business demands and perform other duties assigned by management.
  • E nsure a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Relevant experience is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with truck parts, equipment, and repairs would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of DOT/MTO regulations is advantageous.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, ability to understand complex issues, and find timely solutions.
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
