Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at GDI Service (Canada) Ltd. As a Heavy Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our school or educational institution setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria
  • Work with minimal supervision to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience an asset, but not necessary
  • Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks efficiently
  • Physically demanding work, requiring the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability required
Working Conditions

As a Heavy Duty Cleaner, you will be working in a school or educational institution setting, which may involve working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. You will be required to work with industrial cleaning equipment and materials, and may be exposed to dust, dirt, and other allergens.
