Job Title: Glass Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at GTA DOOR SYSTEMS LTDS. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing glass and aluminum products in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure precise fits
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring proper alignment and sealing
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, estimating costs and materials required
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products, adhering to manufacturer specifications
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper function and safety
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on installation techniques and best practices
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and equipment
  • Supervise other workers, ensuring efficient and safe installation processes
  • Estimate costs and materials required for each installation, maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in glass installation and fabrication
  • Ability to work at heights, using man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to instruct and supervise others
  • Knowledge of glass cutting equipment and techniques, including cutting wheels, self-lubricating cutters, and circular cutters
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
Working Conditions:
  • Physically demanding work environment, requiring standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads
  • Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity
  • Use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, goggles, and gloves
