Aversan Inc. is a reputable engineering company that provides engineering expertise in the aerospace and defense industries. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for our client located in a secure facility.

Core Responsibilities:

The Project Engineer will provide scheduling, administrative, and technical support to the project team(s) in order to ensure project deliverables are met. The Project Engineer job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Technical:
  1. Recognize problems, initiate action, assist in problem solving and evaluate results on major issues prior to releasing drawings to the field.
  2. Work alongside Program Managers as technical support for their assigned series, providing support in customer communications and needs.
  3. Perform risk assessments and support the job hazard analysis process and actively participate in and support Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs and initiatives.
  4. Coordinate multi-disciplinary project design deliverables and participate in quality reviews.
  5. Schedule resources for their portion of a project under the guidance of a Supervisor or Manager.
  6. Ensure work quality, safety, and reliability standards are met and maintained.
Project Execution:
  1. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely.
  3. Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
  4. Occasional shift work and overtime hours, including weekend and backshift coverage may be required.
  5. Ensure scheduled milestones are met. Notify the appropriate contacts if milestones are not met.
  6. Adhere to all program Operating and Implementing Policies.
  7. Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the company Conduct Code.
  8. Foster the development of a culture reflective of the company's core values.
Qualifications:
Education:
  1. Has successfully completed a University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Project, MS office-based software.
  3. Primavera scheduling experience is considered an asset.
  4. Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD required.
  5. Experience working on-site at a secure facility, ideally within a controlled environment.
  6. Knowledge of Engineering Change Control (ECC) process an asset.
Experience:
  1. Experience in a technical environment on large-scale engineering and construction projects, preferably in the aerospace and defense industries.
  2. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task.
  3. Firm understanding of core engineering principles, documentation, and processes.
  4. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ability to deal professionally and courteously with internal and external clients.
  6. Scheduling knowledge an asset.
