Software Engineer in Quality Assurance

The Company

Wenco International Mining Systems is a leading provider of cloud-based Asset Health Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms for mining equipment. Our R&D offices are located in Australia, Canada, and Chile, with this role based in our Canadian head office in Richmond, BC.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Developer to join our self-organizing, agile product development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining test automation frameworks for our live cloud-based products.

The Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing and test automation development
  • Experience in BDD style of developing test automation
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python
  • Experience with a software test management solution, Jira XRay or equivalent
  • Experience in developing test automation frameworks for live cloud-based products that constantly update to provide higher quality and new features
  • An interest in delivering high-quality and high-standard products to businesses and consumers
  • Enjoy working in an environment where you are learning new technologies and new concepts and solving complex problems with your team

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the mining industry
  • Experience in Playwright and Cucumber (Gherkin)
