Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at the Wooden Nickel Saloon. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.
Responsibilities:- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Load and unload dishwashers, and ensure all dishes, glassware, and flatware are clean and sanitized.
- Help with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen staff.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Reliability, dependability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
The kitchen environment can be physically demanding, with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods. The ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail is essential.
